Centre Le Page & Le Quiou

Centre Le Page

Centre Le PageLe Quiou Sign

Entirely self-contained, we are situated in the pretty village of Le Quiou just 15 minutes south of Dinan with its Vieux Port and fascinating medieval centre. We are within 45 minutes drive from St Malo (UK Ferry), Dinard (Ryanair to Leeds/Bradford, East Midlands and London Stansted) and Rennes (30 minutes - flights to Southampton).

In the square of the imposing village church, Centre Le Page faces "La Belle Epoque" / "Chez Mimi", a cafe bar/shop with Breton Boules lanes. Next to Mimi's is the Crêperie "Chez Jona". A kilometre down the road, you will find the old railway station and the Roman Villa with access to the Voie Verte cycle route between the Rennes and Dinard via Dinan. A kilometre away in St Andre-des-Eaux is the eclectic l'Eprouvette where Sylvie plays host to music groups at least twice a week.cafe de pays leprouvette

Centre Le Page offers a safe and secure environment and has its own exclusive sports/ entertainments hall and many special facilities close by, including water sports and national cycle ways. Annual facilities, safety and security inspections and any resulting upgrades take place in all necessary disciplines.

We are:

  • A sole occupancy centre if required.
  • Accessible for the disabled.
  • Approved by the Côtes d'Armor Security Commission, the Direction Départementale de la Jeunesse et des Sports, the Education Nationale and in 2014, Rando Accueil, the premier Internet Site for Cycling, Walking and Equestrian touring.

What We Offer

  • A multi-purpose games hall with table tennis, badminton, table football and pool. This is also ideal for singing and other special interest groups. We can also provide secure overnight bicycle storage access and maintenance rack facilities.
  • A private and comfortable lounge (the ‘Clubhouse’) which can be allocated exclusively for teachers.
  • Budget accommodation together with substantial home-cooking.
  • A bilingual (French/English) partner with over thirty years of language teaching and group leading experience, lately as Head of Languages and Director of Studies at a major English secondary school. Chris can support any French language needs.

Within the village of Le Quiou there is a 15th Century château and the archaeological site of a Roman villa. For many years CLP has hosted a group of French Archaeologists who are gradually unlocking its secrets!

Bétineuc Lake is within walking distance for water sports and in 2013 was host to an All-Brittany beach rugby tournament. Le Quiou is on (V3) the 'Voie Verte' or 'Green Route' national network of cycling routes and close to the Rennes-Dinard Canal route (V2). The Vieux Port of Dinan is within an hour’s easy cycling.
